“Ohad outsmarted our unscrupulous landlord!”

When Mr. and Mrs D decided to take a six month winter vacation apartment rental in Tel Aviv, they hired Ohad to organize and optimize their negotiation and contract.
The rental agreement involved paying a returnable deposit of two months’ rent.
Unfortunately, the date for the conclusion of the rental occurred during a Corona lockdown, and Mr and Mrs D were unable to travel from their home in Jerusalem in order to move out their belongings and return the keys. They would only be able make the inter-city journey three days later, when the lockdown had ended.
They explained the situation to their landlord, who fortunately had no further tenants waiting to move in. But the landlord tried it on.
She refused to return Mr and Mrs D’s deposit, and wanted to retain one month’s rent as compensation for the three day delay.
Mrs and Mrs D were upset and stuck, and they contacted Ohad for help.
Ohad asked Mr and Mrs D the name to whom their rental and deposit checks had been written. It was the private name of the landlord, who, they told Ohad, owned three rental apartments.
Ohad ran a search, and discovered that the landlord had managed the rental business illegally. So, he contacted her himself, and made sure that his clients received their deposit in full, immediately.
The landlord agreed straightaway, and Ohad was delighted to inform Mrs and Mrs D that their deposit was being returned in full with no further headache or hassle.
