National Development Plan and Infrastructure Development: The National Development Plan (NDP) is the government's infrastructure development plan to meet the needs of Ireland's population growth and structural changes. It outlines how funds will be used for infrastructure development, such as housing, to support the country's economic, social, and environmental development. In July 2025, the government will release an updated National Development Plan, which will specify how much money will be invested in infrastructure from now until 2035. This is the largest infrastructure investment plan in Irish history. The government has committed €275.4 billion to infrastructure development over the next 10 years, with €102.4 billion planned for the next five years
