2023年6月16日：本行成功為僱員申索人取得對勞資審裁處裁斷的上訴許可

於2023年6月16日，本行代表客戶（僱員申索人）成功獲得上訴許可，對勞資審裁處黃瑞珊審裁官在勞資審裁處2022年第60號案件中作出的裁斷作出上訴，該許可是由潘兆童高等法院法官於上述日期在HCLA 17/2022案件頒佈的決定所作出（ [2023] HKCFI 1573）。

16th June 2023: Successfully obtained on behalf of an employee Claimant leave to appeal against the decisions and awards of the Labour Tribunal

On 16th June 2023, by the Decision of the Honourable Mr. Justice S. T. P**n handed down on the same date in HCLA 17/2022 ([2023] HKCFI 1573), our firm successfully obtained on behalf of our client, an employee Claimant, leave to appeal against the decisions and awards of Presiding Officer Susan Wong of the Labour Tribunal in LBTC No. 60 of 2022.

2023年5月6日：廣州廣信君達律師事務所到訪

廣東廣信君達律師事務所的陳偉雄律師(合夥人)及周小妹律師，於2023年5月6日到訪本行，與本行韋律師暢談大灣區與香港法律市場近況。雙方均展望，會就牽涉內地（尤其是大灣區）與香港之間的民商事法院判決及仲裁裁決的執行、跨境投資、家族傳承規劃、遺產承辦及家庭婚姻案件等，加強與深化雙方各層面的緊密合作。

On May 6, 2023, Mr. Chen Weixiong, Partner, and Ms. Josephine Zhou, two lawyers of Guangzhou ETR Law Firm visited our firm, and discussed with our Mr. Wai the current state of the legal market in the Greater Bay Area and Hong Kong. The topics covered included the enforcement civil and commercial court judgments and arbitral awards between Mainland China and Hong Kong, family succession planning, cross-border investments, grants of probate and administration of estate and family and matrimonial cases involving both the Greater Bay Area and Hong Kong, and increasing and deepening the cooperation between the firms at all levels.

2023年2月10日：香港大學法律學院模擬法庭訟辯比賽

於2023 年 2 月 10 日，韋業顯律師在金鐘高等法院大樓舉行的香港大學（「港大」）法律學院模擬法庭訟辯比賽中，擔任其中一名法官。韋律師自2010年代中起，每年都擔任香港大學法律學院模擬法庭訟辯比賽的法官。

參加者均為港大法律本科最後一年的學生。該案件涉及與未成年藝人簽訂的合同的可執行性，這是一個熱門話題。訴訟以在終審法院聆訊的形式進行，雙方陳詞的總時間約為 90 分鐘。雙方都必須預先提交陳詞大綱，並在聆訊時提交案例。參加者總體上表現出良好的訟辯技巧。在聆訊完結時，韋律師對案件各問題進行分析，並作出判決，然後對參加者的個人表現進行作出評論。

10th February 2023: Compulsory Mooting Competition of the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Law

On 10th February 2023, Mr. Henry Wai acted as one of the judges of the Compulsory Mooting Competition of the University of Hong Kong (“HKU”) Faculty of Law, which was held at the High Court Building in Admiralty. Mr. Wai has acted as a Judge in the Mooting Competition of HKU Faculty of Law each year since around the mid-2010s.

The participants are the final year law undergraduate students of HKU. The case relates to the enforceability of a contract made with an artiste while she was a minor, which is a topical issue. The proceedings took the form of a hearing before the Court of Final Appeal. The total time of submissions was around 90 minutes. Both sides had to submit skeleton submissions in advance and bundles of authorities were submitted at the hearing. The participants displayed good advocacy skills overall. At the end of the hearing, Mr. Wai analysed the issues and delivered judgment, and then gave comments on the individual performance of the participants.
