Do you know what….. sorting out your lasting power of attorney documents can be emotional, sometimes for you, and sometimes for your family.
It’s the thought of a loved one declining in life, finding things harder, or not being able to make everyday decisions anymore.
It’s a challenge to accept that someone who used to be independent and confident now isn’t.
That can be hard to grasp, and can be upsetting to think about the future.
It can even prevent people from taking the steps to put their documents in place.
Today my lovely clients son found it all pretty emotional. So we stepped out, we talked, we had some coffee, I gave him a hug, and the space he needed to just pause and realise that it’s ok to feel emotional about these things.
Because I actually care about my clients, and the loved ones around them.
