It’s been such a busy week this week, I feel very blessed to have such amazing clients, and this week has been a particularly interesting one. Although my printer gave up yesterday so I’ll be shopping this weekend for a new one!

I’m happy it’s Friday, as it’s pizza and movie night with my boys - which is a lovely family tradition we have created… although I do wish we’d made it housework night instead 🤣 not quite as fun though.

One of my lovely clients gave me a lovely bottle of rosè today, to thank me for being great at my job, they thought they needed to pay me another fee for helping them complete the digital side of the paperwork, but they don’t…. If you need my help to do it, I’ll come…. If you don’t I won’t…. Because that’s how I run my business - I’m here if you need me ❤️

I have the best clients and I love what I do….. feeling forever grateful for being brave enough to decide to work for my self nearly 4 years ago!

Another day, another client helped ❤️

This client had been meaning to sort their documents out for 5 years!!

5 years!!

It took about an hour and a half (because we were chatting) and I’ll do the rest, we’ll catch up next week to sign them and I’ll send them to the courts and sort out the digital side once they are back in the new year… but it’s all moving forwards and she was so relieved.

Pleased I make it easy for my lovely clients xx

Met some lovely people this morning at a business networking event in Arundel, but also heard some very sad stories of people not having lasting power of attorney documents in place….. one was 90….. one was 36!

So I’ve got a question for you…… have you got your documents in place?

If you lost capacity yesterday because you had a stroke…. Are your loved ones ready to act for
YOU?

If these answers are NO then you need to sort out your lasting power of attorney documents full stop….

You don’t have to use me, but you do have to get them in place, because right now the courts and social services would be responsible for your decision making. Again a choice that most people wouldn’t make 😢

Don’t let other people decide your future if they don’t even know you and what your wishes might be ❤️ especially if you actually have someone in mind who you would want to make decisions for you.

Saw a client today who had been doing the lasting power of attorney paperwork themselves, only to find that its been rejected by the courts twice now due to errors that they hadn’t realised they had done.

They are so stressed about the whole thing, and are also worried about if they’ve actually set it up they way they wanted to, so I’ve given them some tips and things to consider…. I’ve also given them my prices so if they want me to do it all for them, they know exactly what it will cost….

Sometimes you just need to pick up the phone and have the chat, it’s not always about doing the work for people, sometimes it also about helping them and giving them the time they need ❤️

I love what I do, and I love all the wonderful
people I meet - I am blessed ❤️

I saw a lovely client today, who had been quoted £350 per document to create their lasting power of attorney documents, thankfully they found me before committing, but it could’ve been a costly mistake.

The worst thing is this isn’t even the highest price I’ve seen over the years. I’ve had clients charged £700 per document!

Someone said to me the other they didn’t know how I made any money, because I only charge £150 per document, and generally most clients will see me three times minimum. But I am happy with my fees, and I’m happy with how I work, I’m also happy to give my clients extra time and support if they need it, because I want to help people to get their documents in place and make sure they have everything sorted.
