What’s it all about.....

Welcome! The name of this service is rather ambiguous so I’ll explain what we’re about.

I provide various private services to families and children, with a primary focus on improving the lived day to day experiences of everyone involved.

When parents separate they often struggle to make the transition into a co-parenting relationship. This is resulting in ££££ being used on solicitors, attendance to court and mediation with parents left feeling unheard and essentially the courts making decisions about their children’s lives.

Disputes can go on for years, prolonging trauma to parents and children.

Parents are the experts in their children’s lives, not lawyers and courts.

I aim to help parents make a smoother transition into co-parenting so you make decisions about what’s right for your children.

I can help you to establish boundaries around your new relationship, support you to negotiate with each other to find the best way forward for your children.

Fundamentally, I can help you build healthy foundations for a positive future.

So, I guess if I was reading this I’d be thinking, well where’s the proof she can help?!

My professional experience working with children and families in difficulty has spanned the last 20 years. During that time I have worked predominantly with hard to reach children and families in education, criminal justice and safeguarding services.

I have a degree in Law and a Masters degree in Social Work.

I continue to attend courses that improve my skills and keep me up to date with relevant theories and research, to help me be a more useful resource.

On a personal level I am the mother of four sons; my eldest is 22, my step boys (twins) are 16 and my youngest is 12. I started my parenting journey very young by modern standards and was predominantly a single parent. I am by no means a perfect parent, in twenty years of practice I haven’t found one yet! I am divorced (and remarried 🙄) and I now co-parent effectively with my ex.

I don’t pretend to have all the answers, but I have managed to help lots of families to improve their circumstances. If you’re struggling, maybe I can help.
