Happy Friday! We hope everyone has a lovely, long Bank Holiday weekend.

Here’s a throwback to one of our previous projects. We were tasked with fully making over and dressing this ex-rental house in Hertfordshire, prior to sale. This video shows the open plan kitchen, which we renovated by painting the cupboards, installing new tiles, flooring and a worktop. It may seem a cliche, but it really is possible to transform an outdated kitchen on a budget by making these changes. We also updated the cupboard handles to a warm bronze, then staged the kitchen to show how spacious it was, and how potential buyers could use the space.

Following these changes, the property was brought to market, received an offer at full asking price within literally a few days, and a great offer was accepted within two months. We were pleased that we were able to transform this ex-rental into a highly desirable private residence which sold quickly and well, especially in this market. We were so happy to work with our friends at again.

If you are a landlord seeking to release capital from your portfolio, please do get in touch. We have over twenty years experience of property investment and renovation, and our expertise could help you.

Happy Sunday everyone. We hope you’re having a lovely, leisurely day.

We’re really pleased to share the news of our latest staging success. Our client tasked us with presenting this spacious vacant 2-bed apartment in Bushey Heath, Hertfordshire for sale. Following a complete staging transformation, the property received four good offers and was sold within just six weeks of launch!

Smiles all round, from our client, from us and from our valued partner in the industry 🙂

Hello everyone, hope you’re having a lovely Sunday (and Mother’s Day!)

We had a great family trip out to the V and A storehouse in Stratford, London. It was filled with everything from ornate eighteenth century Indian ceilings, to 80s postmodern design classics. We especially loved the Bauhaus kitchen and mid century office interiors. The new V and E East museum opens nearby on 18 April too!

One of our favourite local outlets is the wonderful Kendall’s florist in our home town of St Albans. We’ve sourced some fabulous home staging items here over the years, including this lovely plant pot and French soap bar. We can’t recommend them enough for high quality pieces for your home and garden. If you’re in the area, please do visit and support a local business!

A space to play and grow 🧸❤️🎨

Happy Sunday everyone! Today we wanted to highlight details of something a little different. We recently completed a staging project on a 4-bedroom house in Hertfordshire. While dressing the other bedrooms in a transitional style (traditional yet casual) to appeal to the target demographic of professionals, we also wanted to show there was ample room for families. In one of the smaller bedrooms, we created a playful space for young ones, with just the suggestion of childhood themes. Using characters from classic children’s books and a restful gender neutral colour palette, we curated an inviting space allowing viewers to imagine how they and their loved ones could live there 💕

Did you know, studies show that 80% of viewers struggle to envisage the potential of an empty property? Building an emotional connection is a huge part of staging, and our experience shows that an well presented space which creates this vision will always sell well. This property received an offer at virtually the full asking price within a few days of being relaunched - in the current climate, when almost half the properties being marketed in the UK are withdrawn unsold, we were so pleased with this success. Full room video to follow soon!

Happy Sunday everyone!

Sometimes it’s the little things that matter. Property buyers notice everything, even subconsciously - the clutter of everyday life, even a cushion out of place. Because we have a professional perspective as home stagers, sometimes it’s just as much about what we subtract, as what we add. Our clients value our ability to see through the noise and create calming, aspirational spaces that prospective buyers love. When viewers feel that clarity, they’re more likely to build an emotional connection with your property, leading to commitment and buyers who stay the course to completion.

We have a strong track record of creating these kind of spaces for our clients, helping them sell quickly and for the best possible price - and our difference is that we do this at a genuinely affordable cost. Take a look at these images from our latest project, a beautiful two bedroom apartment in Bushey Heath currently being marketed by our good friend

If you’re thinking of selling or renting out this year, dm us for more details or take a look at sundaymorningstyling.com to see some of our successful property projects in St Albans, Hertfordshire and beyond.

What’s trending in interiors this year?

We think there may be two different answers to this, depending on whether you’re planning to sell a property in 2026, or just decorating for your personal taste.

Staging is all about appealing to your target demographic of potential buyers, and as many people know, decluttering and depersonalising is key. But that doesn’t mean staged properties have to lack interest or style - quite the opposite, in fact. It’s about striking the right balance between broad appeal and building an emotional connection with viewers.

Richer earth hues are popular this year, along with different wood tones. If staging, especially smaller spaces, we’d suggest it’s still probably best to stick with light and neutral wall colours, such as Summer Linen by Dulux. Add pops of colour such as amber or forest green to accessories, cushions and throws, and natural materials wherever possible, such as stone, ceramic and linen. Other popular colours include powder blue and dusky pinks, such as Setting Plaster by Farrow and Ball. Or for those who prefer richer colours, the spice palette continues to trend - aubergine, olive green and browns such as Benjamin Moore’s colour of the year Silhouette. Brass is still very popular, but curved chrome is beginning to make a comeback - think Art Deco inspired glass side tables, for example.

If you have a property you’re preparing for sale, what are your design inspirations? Let us know in the comments, we’d love to hear from you!
