Retirement is often associated with a slower pace of life, but that doesn’t mean you should cut back on how much you’re exercising or even that you shouldn’t increase how active you are. Exercising in retirement could improve your health and wellbeing to enable you to get the most out of the next stage of your life.

According to the NHS, many adults aged 65 and over spend on average 10 hours or more each day sitting or lying down. This makes over-65s the most sedentary age group and some could be paying a high price for their inaction. The NHS states that remaining active becomes even more important as you get older if you want to stay healthy and maintain your independence.

The NHS recommends aiming to get at least 150 minutes of moderate activity every week, as well as trying to reduce the amount of time you spend sitting down every day. There could be more benefits than you think to exercising in retirement.

There are plenty of reasons for remaining active in retirement. It could help you maintain your independence and meet new people.

is celebrated on January 12, every year in India to honour the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, one of India's greatest leaders and believers of youth power.

So today, we felt it appropriate to dispel a common misconception that lasting powers of attorney (LPAs) are only necessary for older people and that LPAs are extremely important whatever your age. LPAs are crucial for an immediate onset of mental incapacity, which can be caused by an accident or sudden illness, and it is a sad truth that these can happen to anyone, at any age.

Therefore, we recommend that all youths, from age 18, take the simple steps to retain their powers no matter what life challenges they may face in the future with an LPA.

Spend, save, or invest: What should you do with your child’s Christmas money?

It’s that time of the year when Santa leaves gifts under the tree. As well as presents to unwrap, your child may receive money from family and friends too. If they receive cash as a gift, they may be eager to spend as soon as possible, but putting it away can help it go further and teach valuable money lessons.

With presents making up a big portion of Christmas expenses, it’s likely your children will have received plenty of gifts from loved ones. So, what are your options when deciding what to do with the money they may receive?
