Rising damp on a bay window caused by a bonding plaster used at low level and creating a bridging issue.

The bay window was hacked
off at least 300mm above the last signs of damp. Then treated with a salt neutraliser, new chemical damp proof course, waterproof render system applied and finished with a smooth plaster. 👌

Rising damp had affected the walls from a failed existing DPC and a bridging issue. This resulted in tide marks and hygroscopic salts coming through
to the surface. The walls were fully treated with a salt neutraliser and new chemical damp proof course (DPC). Once treatment was finished the walls were rendered with a waterproof sand and cement system, followed by a smooth finish ready for painting. 👌
