We're pleased to share the successful outcome of a recent Military Hearing Loss claim, with Imperium Law owner and solicitor, Philip Jackson, securing a £375,000 settlement for his client.
This case highlights the importance of obtaining specialist legal advice when pursuing compensation for service-related hearing loss.
Following a joint settlement meeting with the Ministry of Defence, Philip secured the £375,000 settlement on behalf of his client for military noise-induced hearing loss, tinnitus, and associated losses (including loss of pension). Thanks go to Amrit Atwal of Park Square Barristers for his guidance and expertise throughout.
Our client, who served his country in Afghanistan, was discharged from the army in 2024 at the age of 34 due to hearing damage. He had served 17 years. After being denied compensation under the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme, Imperium Law were instructed to bring a claim for damages.
Although our client was able to find employment quickly after discharge, the settlement includes a significant sum to address any potential disadvantage he may face in securing future employment due to his hearing loss.
Imperium Law acts for hundreds of serving and former service personnel and is a specialist in hearing loss claims. Should you need to know more, please email [email protected].
