The UK government has announced new immigration and citizenship fees, which will come into effect from 8 April 2026. Most of the application fees are increasing by 6 to 7 percent in the new announcement.

The application fee for permanent residence permit or 'indefinite leave to remain' is increasing by £197.
Where previously this fee was 3,029 pounds, now it stands at 3,226 pounds.

Also, the fee for acquiring British citizenship or naturalization has been increased by £104 to £1,709.

The ETA fee has increased from £16 to £20.
On the other hand, the six-month standard visit visa fee has been increased from £127 to £135.

Skill worker is increasing by 114 pounds from 1751 pounds to 1865 pounds.
Student Main Applicant (Inside UK) is increasing by £34 from £524 to £558.

But there is some news of relief in one case.
The application fee for registering children as British citizens has been reduced to £1,000 from £1,000.214 pounds. Lost 214 pounds.

যুক্তরাজ্য সরকার ঘোষণা করেছে নতুন অভিবাসন ও নাগরিকত্ব ফি, যা আগামী ৮ এপ্রিল ২০২৬ থেকে কার্যকর হবে। নতুন এই ঘোষণায় বেশিরভাগ আবেদন ফি ৬ থেকে ৭ শতাংশ পর্যন্ত বৃদ্ধি পাচ্ছে।

স্থায়ীভাবে বসবাসের অনুমতি বা ‘ইনডেফিনিট লিভ টু রিমেইন’ এর আবেদন ফি বাড়ছে ১৯৭ পাউন্ড।
আগে যেখানে এই ফি ছিল ৩,০২৯ পাউন্ড, এখন তা বেড়ে দাঁড়াচ্ছে ৩,২২৬ পাউন্ডে।

এছাড়াও, ব্রিটিশ নাগরিকত্ব গ্রহণ বা ন্যাচারালাইজেশনের ফি ১০৪ পাউন্ড বাড়িয়ে করা হয়েছে ১,৭০৯ পাউন্ড।

ETA ফি ১৬ পাউন্ড থেকে বেড়ে ২০ পাউন্ড হয়েছে।
অন্যদিকে, ছয় মাসের স্ট্যান্ডার্ড ভিজিট ভিসার ফি ১২৭ পাউন্ড থেকে বেড়ে ১৩৫ পাউন্ড করা হয়েছে।

স্কিল ওয়ার্কার ১১৪ পাউন্ড বাড়িয়ে ১৭৫১ পাউন্ড থেকে বাড়িয়ে করা হচ্ছে ১৮৬৫ পাউন্ড।
স্টুডেন্ট মেইন এপ্লিকেন্ট ( ইনসাইড ইউকে) ৩৪ পাউন্ড বাড়িয়ে ৫২৪ পাউন্ড থেকে বাড়িয়ে করা হচ্ছে ৫৫৮ পাউন্ড।

তবে একটি ক্ষেত্রে কিছুটা স্বস্তির খবর রয়েছে।
শিশুদের ব্রিটিশ নাগরিক হিসেবে নিবন্ধনের আবেদন ফি কমিয়ে ১,০০০ পাউন্ড করা হয়েছে, যা আগে ছিল ১,২১৪ পাউন্ড। কমেছে ২১৪ পাউন্ড।

যুক্তরাজ্যে আশ্রয়প্রার্থীদের কাজের সুযোগ দিতে নতুন উদ্যোগ
যুক্তরাজ্যে আশ্রয়ের আবেদন করে এক বছরের বেশি সময় ধরে সিদ্ধান্তের অপেক্ষায় থাকা প্রায় ২১ হাজার আশ্রয়প্রার্থীকে কাজ করার সুযোগ দেওয়ার পরিকল্পনা করছে সরকার। বৃহস্পতিবার নতুন একটি পদক্ষেপের অংশ হিসেবে এই পরিকল্পনার কথা জানিয়েছে Home Office।
সরকারের লক্ষ্য হলো আশ্রয়প্রার্থীদের জন্য ব্যবহৃত হোটেলগুলো ধীরে ধীরে খালি করা এবং দীর্ঘ সময় অপেক্ষায় থাকা আবেদনকারীদের নিজেদের খরচ নিজে বহন করার সুযোগ দেওয়া। নতুন প্রস্তাব অনুযায়ী, যারা এক বছরের বেশি সময় ধরে তাদের আশ্রয় আবেদন নিষ্পত্তির অপেক্ষায় আছেন, তারা যুক্তরাজ্যের চাকরির বাজারে প্রবেশের অনুমতি পেতে পারেন।
তবে একই সঙ্গে সরকার কঠোর কিছু ব্যবস্থাও ঘোষণা করেছে। নতুন নিয়ম অনুযায়ী, কোনো আশ্রয়প্রার্থী আইন ভঙ্গ করলে, অবৈধভাবে কাজ করলে অথবা তাদের কাছে নিজেদের খরচ চালানোর মতো পর্যাপ্ত সম্পদ রয়েছে বলে প্রমাণিত হলে, আগামী জুন মাস থেকে তাদের সরকারি সহায়তা বন্ধ করা হবে এবং আশ্রয় ব্যবস্থাপনা থেকে বের করে দেওয়া হতে পারে।
সরকার বলছে, এই পদক্ষেপের মাধ্যমে একদিকে দীর্ঘদিন ধরে অপেক্ষায় থাকা আশ্রয়প্রার্থীরা নিজেদের জীবিকা নির্বাহের সুযোগ পাবেন, অন্যদিকে সরকারের ওপর আর্থিক চাপও কমবে।
বিশ্লেষকদের মতে, এই উদ্যোগ বাস্তবায়িত হলে যুক্তরাজ্যের শ্রমবাজারে কিছু খাতে কর্মী সংকট কমাতেও সহায়তা করতে পারে।

From 25 February 2026, British dual nationals will not be able to enter the UK without a British passport. Or if you want to enter with a foreign passport, you must carry the certificate of statement. Applying for a Certificate of Statement takes a few weeks and costs £589.

Meanwhile,The Home Office said there would be no difficulty in entering even if the British passport had expired.

২৫ শে ফেব্রুয়ারি ২০২৬ থেকে ব্রিটিশ দ্বৈত নাগরিকরা ব্রিটিশ পাসপোর্ট ছাড়া যুক্তরাজ্যে প্রবেশ করতে পারবেন না। অথবা বিদেশি পাসপোর্ট দিয়ে প্রবেশ করতে চাইলে সার্টিফিকেট অব স্টেটমেন্ট সাথে থাকতে হবে। সার্টিফিকেট অব স্টেটমেন্ট এর জন্য আবেদন করতে হয়, কয়েক সপ্তাহ লাগে এবং £৫৮৯ পাউন্ড খরচ পরে।

এদিকে, হোম অফিস জানিয়েছে ব্রিটিশ পাসপোর্ট মেয়াদোত্তীর্ণ হলেও প্রবেশ করতে কোন অসুবিধা হবে না।

How much will Universal Credit benefits increase in the UK?

Universal Credit allowance is increasing in the UK. The Department for Work and Pensions said the allowance will rise by up to 3.8 per cent from April.
Long-term sickness allowance LCWRA will increase from £423 to £429 a month for existing claimants. But for new claimants the allowance will halve to around £217.
Single claimants under 25 will get £338 a month, over 25 will get £424. The allowance for joint claimants will rise from £528 to £666 depending on age.
Apart from this, child allowance is also increasing. The allowance will be £351 for the first child and £303 for other children.

It's a means-tested benefit for low-income or unemployed people, so the amount you get is based on your family income, savings and specific circumstances.

For some people in Scotland it is paid monthly - or twice a month. If you think you may be eligible to make a claim, but haven't already done so, here's more information.

From April, the rates will be:

An increase from £338.58 - £316.98 per month for single people under 25

An increase from £424.90 - £400.14 per month for single people aged 25 and over

Increase from £528.34 - £497.50 per month for joint claimants under 25

Increase from £666.97 - £628.10 per month for joint claimants aged 25 and over

The end of the two-child benefit limit in April means parents who have more than two children and claim Universal Credit can claim the extra amount for any subsequent children.

The new extra amount under the child element of Universal Credit will be £339 to £351.88 for a first-born child born before 6 April 2017 and from £292.81 to £303.94 for any other child.

যুক্তরাজ্যে ইউনিভার্সাল ক্রেডিট ভাতা বাড়ছে। কর্ম ও পেনশন বিভাগ জানিয়েছে, এপ্রিল থেকে ভাতা ৩.৮ শতাংশ পর্যন্ত বাড়বে।
দীর্ঘমেয়াদি অসুস্থতার ভাতা LCWRA বিদ্যমান দাবিদারদের জন্য মাসে বাড়বে ৪২৩ পাউন্ড থেকে ৪২৯ পাউন্ডে। তবে নতুন দাবিদারদের জন্য ভাতা অর্ধেকে নেমে যাবে প্রায় ২১৭ পাউন্ডে।
২৫ বছরের নিচে একক দাবিদাররা পাবেন মাসে ৩৩৮ পাউন্ড, ২৫ বছরের বেশি হলে পাবেন ৪২৪ পাউন্ড। যুগ্ম দাবিদারদের ভাতা ৫২৮ থেকে ৬৬৬ পাউন্ডে যাবে বয়স অনুযায়ী।
এ ছাড়া শিশু ভাতাও বাড়ছে। প্রথম সন্তানের জন্য ভাতা হবে ৩৫১ পাউন্ড এবং অন্যান্য সন্তানের জন্য ৩০৩ পাউন্ড।

Tax-free allowance in the UK rises to £18,570

UK households can receive a tax-free allowance of up to £18,570. If the combined annual income and interest on savings is less than £18,570, all interest will be tax-free. The normal allowance is £12,570, an additional £1,000 for basic taxpayers and £500 interest tax-free for higher rate taxpayers.
