Opus 2 employees ran for in the Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday. The five Opus 2 runners raised £1700 for Wide Horizons, an adventure learning charity who provide life-changing adventures for disadvantaged children and young people.

Every Opus 2 participant completed the run in under 2 hours!! The 16,000 runners traversed a stunning 13.1 mile route along world-famous landmarks and through four of London’s eight Royal Parks: Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens. The annual ½ marathon aims to promote and protect London’s parks.

Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that raises funds for cancer support and research enlists the help of local London businesses to host charity bake sales. Macmillan’s ambition is to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer and to inspire millions of others to do the same. Our London team participated in a widespread fundraising campaign on 29 Sept where in conjunction with other companies, we baked and sold cakes to support their efforts. The Lord Mayor’s Dragon Awards’ 30th anniversary ceremony was held in London 27 Sept. In partnership with the charity organization East London Advanced Technology Training (ELATT) Opus 2 was one of four finalists in the Community Partners division. The prestigious Dragon Award celebrates businesses that display excellence in their approach to community engagement and those that use their influence and resources to address social issues. Opus 2’s London staff has worked with ELATT over the past 3 years, offering workshops to update CV’s and give interview practice, provide mentoring support and also offer work placements for the students.
