University / Institute : London School of Business & Finance UK.

Kindly go through a Visa Refusal case of one of our student who applied for her Visa for MBA at London School of Business and Finance, UK. Her Visa is refused twice but still LSBF is not ready to refund the tuition fees of the student. Date : 02/09/2010 :
The LSBF issued CAS which clearly states that documents assessed certified copy of Degree from Jiwaji University, Gwalior. Date 20 /10/2011

The visa was refused and as per refusal letter it is mentioned that they attempted to verify the degree certificate from University using standard procedure but
Unable to do so therefore they did not allotted 30 points for CAS and the visa of the student was refused. The student than opted to defer her admission for January 2011 intake. She has submitted the verified and certified copy of the degree to LSBF. Date : 06/12/2011
New CAS was issued for Jan 2011 intake and student again applied with Certified original copy of her Degree certificates to British Deputy High Commission, Mumbai for visa. Date :14/01/2011
Students Visa refused again for the same reason and student than applied for the refund of her £2998. She submitted online application for refund freom LSBF, UK on /02/2011

The LSBF refund committee refused the refund request and informed on 01/04/2011 to either defers or as goodwill offered online course to adjust the fees.

“The documents provided by the student to UKBA were considered as non- genuine as a result no refund. LSBF gave the option to study online or defer the course.”

Date 02/04/2011
Email request was sent to LSBF to reconsider the case the contents of the mail are reproduced below.

”We clarified that the Bachelor of Commerce Degree and its mark sheets submitted by the student to VFS were genuine and UKBA also has not considered it as non genuine. The Visa application has been rejected only because the UKBA staffs were not able to verify the documents form the authority of the University. Further when the student's first visa was refused for the reason that UKBA staff was unable to verify the Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Government Kamal raja Girls Post Graduate Autonomous College, Gwalior. Jiwaji University. Therefore the student had again applied for visa second time with the along with verification certificate from Government Kamalraja Girls Post Graduate Autonomous College, Gwalior and certificate of genuine documents from Jiwaji University. Since the documents are genuine but unfortunately when the UKBA staff tried to contact University staff for verification they were unable to establish the contact to proper person for verification and since they were unable to verify the certificate and the visa was refused for the second time as well. This is very clear from the refusal letter provided by the UKBA. Nowhere have they mentioned that the documents are not genuine. It has not been proved that the documents were non genuine and student is firm on her stand for their genuineness. We appealed to LSBF to reconsider the decision and arrange to refund the deposit as the student doesn’t want to defer for the third time and also not interested for online course.”

Date 02/06/2011
The refund committee of London School of Business & Finance ( LSBF ) again refused the request and they are not refunding the tuition fees of £2998 for this student. V Singh
