๐ก Joint Tenants or Tenants in Common โ Which Is Right for You?
When buying property with someone else, how you own it can have a major impact on your share of the property, inheritance, and what happens if one owner passes away
With **joint tenancy**, both owners share the property equally and the surviving owner generally inherits automatically. With **tenants in common**, each owner can hold a specific share such as 50/50 or 70/30 and can leave their share to a chosen beneficiary through their Will. A **Declaration of Trust** can also help clearly record contributions and ownership percentages.
