LANDLORDS: ARE YOU LEAVING MONEY ON THE TABLE?

For years, many landlords have held back on rent increases — valuing good tenants, stability, and peace of mind over profit. But the reality is changing.

Fife Homeowners Taking a 10.3% Hit on Asking Price?

The average Fife home coming to market in 2026 has been listed at £234,900, yet the average completed sale price is £213,000 — a 10.3% gap.

But does that mean sellers are really losing 10.3%? Not quite.

Our latest article reveals what’s really happening in the Fife property market — and why getting your price right from day one matters more than ever.

THE FIRST 3 SECONDS OF A VIEWING
Did you know a buyer can start forming an opinion about your home within just a few seconds?
And that means the viewing really starts before they’ve even walked through the front door.
I’m Susan from Fife Properties, and if you’re selling your home, here’s something worth thinking about.
Stand outside your property and look at it through a buyer’s eyes.
Is the path tidy? Are the bins out of sight? Does the front door look welcoming? Are the windows clean?
And when they step inside – does the hallway feel bright, fresh and uncluttered?
We spend so much time worrying about kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms, but that first impression sets the tone for the entire viewing.
And you don’t need to spend thousands.
A tidy entrance, a clean doorstep, good lighting and a warm welcome can completely change how someone feels when they arrive.
Because when you’re selling a home, you’re not just selling bricks and mortar…
You’re selling the feeling of coming home.
And if you’d like even more ideas, back in April we covered Spring Kerb Appeal – Fresh Pro Tips for a Fabulous First Impression on Fife Properties TV.

What Is Really Happening in Scotland's Property Market This Week?

Here is the Week 32 property market round-up, giving a clear snapshot of how our region is performing right now.

The figures look beyond the headlines and compare current activity with both the wider national picture and longer-term market trends. They cover the number of homes finding buyers, new properties coming onto the market, average asking and agreed prices, the likelihood of a home selling, and how long it is currently taking to secure a buyer.
That comparison matters because the property market is never one single national market. Conditions can vary considerably from one region to another, particularly when it comes to buyer demand, pricing and the speed at which correctly marketed homes are selling.

For Scottish homeowners considering a move, these weekly figures and the direction / trend are going to provide useful regional context to our local area. However, averages only tell part of the story. The likely outcome for an individual property will still depend on its location, condition, competition and, most importantly, the pricing and marketing strategy used from day one.
