Perspective matters.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen events that have left many families and communities with unanswered questions, concern and sadness. Whether it’s the tragic loss of a young life (Kirandeep Kaur), conversations around safety and justice, or students calling for fairness in education, one thing becomes clear—we all have a responsibility to listen, support and guide one another.
As a solicitor, I meet people from all walks of life. Beyond immigration matters, I’ve learned that every decision we make can shape a person’s future. That’s why guidance, integrity and compassion matter so much.
Recently, one line from Satluj stayed with me:
“Main hanere nu challenge karda haan.” means: I challenge the darkness.
To me, that isn’t just a line from a film. It’s a reminder that we should never stop standing for honesty, kindness and hope, even during difficult times.
To every parent, teacher, mentor and community leader—your guidance has the power to change lives.
And to every young person: work hard, ask questions, seek the right advice, and never compromise your values. Success is not only measured by where you reach, but by how you choose to get there.
Let’s continue to support one another and build a future rooted in respect, opportunity and compassion.
Stay safe. Stay positive. Keep moving forward.
