Are you a carer? Do you know someone who is? This week is Carers Week. This is the time for society to recognise all of the people who are carers - paid or unpaid - and looking after family, friends and people in the community.

It's really important that we recognise these truly amazing people, who dedicate lots of time to looking after others, often on top of employment and other responsibilities. Appointments, care routines, medication - it can be a lot to think about as well as the usual life admin.

What happens though, when the carers need to be cared for themselves? Whilst we can't help with the day to day, we can help with the long term planning.

We can talk you through the practicalities of having a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) and a Will in place giving you complete peace of mind that, no matter what happens in the future, there is a plan - for you and those you care for.

Meet our Chief Wellbeing Officer, Luca! A firm favourite with clients, as well as staff, Luca provides essential wellbeing services through the need for walks and fuss - making sure our very willing staff get some fresh air and exercise. He loves a bit of fuss and attention.

As a trustee of Pets As Therapy , Helen, is very aware of the benefits having an office dog can bring, and there aren't many people who can walk past him without giving him a big smile and some fuss. Alwsys encouraged by Helen as long as Luca keeps four paws on the floor 😉

Luca has been an essential part of the team since 2019 and is working on his agility and behaviour techniques. If you haven't met him already, make sure you say hello next time you are visiting our office.
