Lasting Powers of Attorney allow you to appoint those you trust to make decisions on your behalf if you lose mental capacity.

But what happens if your attorney passes away or loses capacity themselves?

You could either consider appointing more than one attorney ‘jointly and severally’ or a replacement attorney who would only step in if one or all of the primary attorneys are permanently unable to act.
