175 years old, and we’ve never been more excited about what comes next! 🎉

Last Thursday, our partners and team were joined by former partner Gill Jordan, the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, and a whole room of clients, friends and special guests to celebrate Grant Saw’s 175th birthday.

There were wonderful speeches, a toast to those who are no longer with us, and of course cake. 🎂 A huge thank you to Bloom and Crumb, whose cake looked almost too good to eat. Almost.

Thank you too to the amazing team at InterContinental by IHG London – The O2 for looking after us so brilliantly at the Clipper Bar.

It's been quite a start to autumn. This week Grant Saw turns 175, from our beginnings in Greenwich in 1851. In September, we were one of four local businesses backing Blackheath Halls' 20th anniversary Community Opera.

They went back to Carmen, the show that started it all in 2007, with a chorus aged from 8 to over 80. Some of the singers were back from that very first cast, alongside newcomers from Charlton Park Academy.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks in 10 hours 28 minutes. ⛰️

Randeep and Michelle from our team took on the challenge for our charity partner, Smile of Hope, a Mottingham-based charity supporting children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

With very little time to train, they had the reassurance of the slower group to fall back on, but they ended up keeping pace with the faster one.

Their guide expected the team to take 14 hours. They knocked 45 minutes off his estimate on the final and highest peak, then sprinted the last stretch to get in under 10.5 hours, on the first attempt for both of them.
