The property market is shifting — and the questions people are asking right now deserve straight answers.

We're joining Jdm Lettings, DJH Bexley - formerly McBrides and Your Mortgage Mate for two open evenings this May to do exactly that.

On the table: inflation, mortgage rates, rising energy costs, and the Renters Rights Act — and what they actually mean for you.

📍 Blackheath Rugby Club — Thursday 14 May, 6–9pm
📍 Bromley FC — Tuesday 19 May, 6–9pm

Places are limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis.

To request your invitation, email [email protected] with 'EVENT' in the subject line.

Know someone navigating a property decision right now? Tag them below — these evenings are worth their time.

From tomorrow, 1 May 2026, the first phase of the Renters’ Rights Act 2025 comes into force.

If you’re a residential landlord, the clock is already running.

Phase one introduces new written information requirements for both new and existing tenancies — and the consequences of getting it wrong are significant. Local authorities can impose civil penalties of up to £7,000 per breach, with further penalties where a breach continues.

Our solicitor Hannah Stevens has written a clear, practical guide to what landlords need to provide, to whom, and by when. Link in the comments below.

We are delighted to announce the promotion of Bimal Kotecha, Charlotte Warren and James McKimm to the Grant Saw partnership, with effect from today.

These promotions strengthen the firm in three strategically important areas and reflect the depth of talent we are continuing to develop from within. For clients, they mean greater senior expertise across insolvency, trusts and corporate and commercial work.

In the words of Ray Crudgington, Managing Partner:

“These promotions deliver on our plan to invest in strategic areas which we believe are key to the firm's continuing success. Each of our new partners will develop our offering in their areas of specialism to help deliver exceptional service to our clients.”

Congratulations to Bimal, Charlotte and James on this well-earned promotion.

There is something powerful in looking back at the faces and moments that have shaped a firm over time.

For generations, Grant Saw has been there for business decisions, family changes and disputes that couldn’t wait — for clients, for contacts and for the people who have worked alongside us.

These images are a reminder that, while faces and times may change, the role of the firm has remained the same: to offer trusted advice, personal support and the right expertise when it matters.

Today, we are marking a change of era with the launch of our new website — a clearer, more accessible way for you to explore the firm and find the right support.

The latest update on our bankruptcy website comes from Bimal Kotecha who explores the recent case of DG Resources Ltd v The Commissioners for His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs [2026] EWHC 201 (Ch), where the High Court, as appellant court, addressed a significant procedural issue regarding the service of a winding-up petition brought by HMRC against DG Resources Ltd. The company did not raise any substantial disputes with the petition debt, however, it contended that the petition was not validly served.
