What will you be remembered for? Bless Margaret... 😔 😟 🙁 😥 You can store a Letter of Wishes with your Will to give instructions on funeral wishes, distributing your things even how you want your children brought up or pets treated. I'm sure Margaret did this - she was so organised!

Mourners Pay Tribute To Woman Who Knew Which Bin Went Out – Services Scheduled For Three Different Days Just In Case

Neighbours gathered for an emotional, logistically complex farewell to Margaret “Calendar Eyes” Forsyth, the only person in the area who consistently knew which bin went out and when.

With her passing, the community has been plunged into disarray, as nobody—despite years of informal mentoring and WhatsApp reminders—can fully decode the council’s sacred rubbish schedule.

To appropriately honour Margaret’s legacy, funeral organisers have planned memorial services on Monday (general waste), Tuesday (recycling), and Thursday (just in case it’s a bank holiday). Attendees are encouraged to wear black, green, or blue, depending on personal interpretation of council leaflets. “We thought about doing one service,” explained daughter Hannah, “but everyone’s bin app says something different, so we’re hedging our bets.”

Tributes poured in from all corners of the cul-de-sac. Local man Keith described Margaret as “a guiding light who could spot a change in collection times a fortnight away”. The vicar recalled last year’s Easter incident, when Margaret alone saved hundreds from the shame of wheeling out the wrong bin. “It was her Everest,” he declared.

Residents have posted laminated cheat sheets to lampposts and plan to install a ‘Margaret Memorial Traffic Light’ for colour-coded reminders. Councillors have requested a minute’s silence whenever the “bin lorry of grief” is seen reversing down the close.

As the final tribute, mourners will stand at the kerb, staring into the uncertain horizon—waiting, hoping for a sign, and wondering which bin goes out next. Services will repeat weekly, pending further confusion.

What a good idea! Those early hours after losing a loved one, you need easy parking.

Good morning,

This is a sign at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital.

When you are in the early hours of a bereavement after losing someone you love, the last thing you need is to worry about finding money for parking and a space.

You are often in shock, and in a complete fog so having to find a ticket and pay when you are experiencing the most difficult and painful time of your life, should not happen.

Well done Bournemouth Hospital. 🧡 this will make a huge difference to the lives of those grieving.

Many of the Wills where we see children removed, or their share reduced, are because they've turned their back on parents in their final years. The key here is that the lady visited the solicitor on her own to make her new Will and gave clear thought, reasoning and understanding and showed full mental capacity. The solicitor's notes would reflect this and they could testify in court. You are never going to get that proof from an online Will. 😉

Two of the mother's three children didn't make the will 😲

Sometimes instructions need to be complete, clear and easy to read..... Don't forget you can put a letter of wishes with your Will including extra instructions for your Executors... Do not wash or blow dry your documents... 😉

There are some beautiful comments here and did you know you don't have to have a coffin here either? Many people don't realise there are options. Sheryl Monk-Pattle is your celebrant, by the way, she understands all of the natural and spiritual stuff.

The earth opened her arms and welcomed a daughter home. 🍃

A natural burial at Eloise Woods, just outside Austin, Texas. 🌼

No embalming, only gentle care.

Her body was bathed with lavender soap, wrapped in soft bamboo fabric, and adorned with flowers and greenery.

Surrounded by love, her family helped lower her into the earth and returned the soil by hand.

Childhood memories can be so precious. A common inheritance wish I have seen is that each grandchild can choose one item out of the house to keep. Often it is something small but with great childhood memories attached. The crocheted lady who sat on the spare toilet roll, the favourite old Teddy who sat on the shelf, a photo from the dresser or the cross above the spare bed... It's not always about money, but does become easier if we talk about it before it is too late.

Hard fact 💯
