Three new faces at MCM 👋🏻

We’re delighted to welcome Stephanie Goudie to MCM as Associate Director in our Commercial Property team.

Steph is an experienced commercial property lawyer and a fantastic addition to our growing team.

We’ve also welcomed Connie Reid, who started her traineeship with us at the beginning of August, with Eilish McGregor joining us as a trainee solicitor in October.

Eilish has a slightly different reason for the later start… she’s currently finishing up filming commitments as part of the crew on the new series of 👀

It’s brilliant to be welcoming people at different stages of their careers as MCM continues to grow.

We’ve been instructed on a number of pharmacy and healthcare deals recently and were delighted to act for the seller of Murrayfield Pharmacy in Edinburgh on its successful sale to Avante Pharm.

Our client acquired the pharmacy from Lloyds just three years ago and, in that relatively short period, has transformed and developed the business into a highly successful operation.

Karl Clezy of Christie & Co negotiated an off-market deal, resulting in the successful sale to Avante Pharm.

Another great example of the strength and breadth of our team with Fraser Morrison and Colm Kerr providing corporate advice, Graham Wilson advising on the property aspects of the transaction and Laura McKenna dealing with the employment matters.

We're delighted to have acted for the sellers in the sale of Mega Amusements to Luxury Leisure.

A well-known name on high streets across Scotland's Central Belt for more than 25 years, Mega Amusements has built a strong presence in the leisure sector. This transaction sees nine venues join the Admiral estate as Luxury Leisure continues its expansion plans.

The McKee Campbell Morrison team was led by Colm Kerr on the corporate aspects of the transaction, with Stacy Campbell advising on the property elements and support from Laura McKenna on employment matters.

Congratulations to Garry and Lesley Graham and their family on the successful completion of the transaction. Having built and grown the business over many years, this marks a significant milestone and the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

Commenting on the transaction, Garry Graham said:

"This was a significant transaction for our family and one that came with plenty of emotion. A great day yesterday at the Scottish Paralegal Association Conference at the Hilton Glasgow.

Our own Sandra Reid, President of the Association, together with the committee, once again delivered an excellent and extremely well-attended event.

We were also pleased to see Marc Waters lead a session on insolvency and Ewan Forsyth present on inheritance tax planning and estates. Both delivered insightful and engaging sessions which were very well received. Relief all round given they had both only recently returned from a stag weekend before undertaking their presenting duties… 😅

Rebecca Coyne and Lynn Clark attended on behalf of MCM and thoroughly enjoyed the day. They were particularly impressed with the conference merchandise - well done to the sponsors for their support 😎👏🏻

Congratulations to West Park Sky on winning the Divisional Cup Final at Broadwood Stadium after a dramatic penalty shootout following a 2-2 draw at full time. Safe to say there were a few nails bitten along the way 🙈😅🚨

What a season this West Park team is having - League Cup winners in December, Divisional Cup winners now and still firmly in the running for the league title with two games in hand 🤞🏆
