When you're going to have a baby, it's like planning a fabulous vacation trip - to Italy. You buy a bunch of guide books and make your wonderful plans. The Coliseum. The Michelangelo David. The gondolas in Venice. You may learn some handy phrases in Italian. It's all very exciting.

What’s your Favourite excuse why you don’t need to contact me to arrange your Will etc..

1. “I wrote my Will myself, how hard can it be?”
You’d be surprised. And so will your Children when it's not been signed and witnessed properly.

2. “My partner will get everything anyway… we’ve lived together for 13 years.”
So has your cat. Neither of them is automatically entitled to your estate.

3. “I changed my Will by crossing out a name and adding someone else in biro.”
Ah yes, a classic.

4. “We’re keeping Mum’s Will in a drawer… somewhere…”
Excellent. That’s definitely the same as a fire proof store.

5. “I don’t need a Will — I’ve told the family what I want.”
Dave at the pub might have said this works, but verbal wishes aren’t legally binding.

6. “I left everything to my cat.”
🙃

7. “Can’t I just Google it?”
Sure. And I’ll Google how to perform surgery on myself.

8. “We’ll sort the Will when things calm down.”
Ah yes, the golden window of peace and quiet that never comes.

9. “We don’t need probate. Dad didn’t have anything except four bank accounts, a car, a house and two ISAs.”
Pub Dave strikes again.

10. “We’re not bothering with legal advice. It’s just paperwork, isn’t it?”
Yes. Just paperwork. Like a parachute...only crucial when it’s too late.

If you’re an adult in the UK, you probably need a will.

An up-to-date, well-drafted will is essential if you have children, own a house or have a pension.

But our research shows nearly half (49%) of adults in the UK don’t have a will in place.

If you die without a will, any assets that belonged to you must be distributed according to the strict rules of intestacy – which may not be how you expect or would want your estate to be shared. It can be hugely distressing for loved ones.

As long as you’re at least 18 years old, it’s never too early to make your will.

Why the Detective Rooms is NOT an escape room.

We don't lock you in a room and give you a stopwatch. We place you in the centre of a live investigation.
At the Detective Rooms, you don't play a character - you become the detective.
Across every scenario, you will recieve genuine investigative material throughout the full two-hour experience, just as real detectives would.
Our rooms are accessible and on the ground floor, no steep steps to climb, so they are accessible to wheelchair users.

You and you team will work with;
