Good morning everyone

Just a reminder that I'm here to help with Wills, Powers of Attorney, Probate, and Trusts.

If you've never made a Will, now is a great time to put plans in place. If you already have one, it's worth asking yourself whether it still reflects your wishes. Life changes such as marriage, divorce, children, grandchildren, moving home, or changes in your finances can all mean it's time for a review.

I'm also here to help with Powers of Attorney, guide families through the Probate process, and advise on Trusts.

Planning ahead gives you and your loved ones peace of mind. If you'd like friendly, professional advice or simply want to discuss your options, please get in touch for a no-obligation chat. I'd be delighted to help.

If anyone is looking for funeral flowers, I'd really recommend keeping GreenBlooms Floral Design in mind. While I haven't used them personally, I know they offer a genuinely caring and compassionate service, creating beautiful floral tributes with great thought and respect. Supporting local businesses that care so much about our community means a lot, especially during life's most difficult moments. 💐

Good morning everyone!

What a night!

As we all turn our attention to the excitement of the World Cup, please remember one simple truth from football: the best teams don’t leave important outcomes to chance.

Matches are rarely decided in the opening minutes—they’re won by preparation, clarity, and making the right decisions before the pressure of extra time or penalties arrives. ⚽🏆The same applies to your personal affairs.

If you don’t have a valid will in place, or if your circumstances have changed since you last reviewed one, the law—not you—decides how your estate is distributed. That can be a difficult “match result” for loved ones to face.

Putting a will in place ensures:

⚽ Your wishes are clearly understood and followed
🥅 You protect the people you care about.
🏆 Uncertainty and disputes are minimised at a difficult time

Like a well-prepared squad, a properly drafted will gives structure, certainty, and peace of mind—whatever the future brings.

If you would like help sorting your will or power of attorney, please drop me a message or give me a call!

Although I hope to be asleep around lunchtime for an hour or so!

Celebrating One Year of Jo Robinson Legal!

Yesterday, June 21st (the summer solstice) marked the first anniversary of Jo Robinson Legal, and what an incredible year it has been!

When I launched Jo Robinson Legal, my goal was simple - to provide accessible, compassionate, and professional legal support to individuals and families when they need it most. Looking back over the last twelve months, I am immensely proud of what has been achieved.

Over the past year, I have had the privilege of acting for 184 clients across a wide range of private client matters, including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate and Estate Administration, Trust matters, and Court of Protection applications. Every client has had their own unique circumstances, and it has been a pleasure to help guide them through important legal decisions with confidence and clarity.

One of the aspects of the business I am most proud of is being able to meet many clients in the comfort of their own homes. For those who may find travelling difficult or simply prefer a more personal service, home visits have enabled me to provide legal advice in a way that is convenient, reassuring, and tailored to individual needs.

Throughout the year, I have also enjoyed giving talks to a number of local groups and organisations, helping to raise awareness of the importance of planning ahead through Wills and Powers of Attorney. It has been wonderful to connect with so many people in the local community and answer their questions on topics that can often seem daunting.

On a personal level, I have finally been able to achieve the perfect work/life balance so that I can help my clients, live life to the full and enjoy precious time with my grandchildren. I am incredibly grateful for the support and trust that clients have placed in Jo Robinson Legal and that trust is reflected in the feedback I have received, with 20 five-star Google reviews and 100% recommendation ratings from six Facebook reviewers. One client kindly described the service as:

" I cannot recommend Jo enough, she has been great from start to finish! Our Will wasn’t a simple one, as we have a dependent disabled adult son, who we didn’t want to leave homeless should we end up in care eventually!

She talked us through all of the options in an understandable manner, as you know Legal language isn’t the easiest to read and understand!

Finally, what I really appreciated was Jo calling at our house to meet us and arrange the Wills, so we never had to step foot out of our house!."

Feedback like this means so much to me and reminds me why I love private client law so much.

As I celebrate this milestone, I would like to thank every client, referrer, colleague, and community group who has supported Jo Robinson Legal during its first year. Your encouragement and recommendations have played a huge part in helping the business grow.

Here's to the next chapter and continuing to provide trusted legal support to even more individuals and families in the local area.

Thank you for being part of the journey and to those who will journey with me in the forthcoming year.

Good morning!

Here's a quick reminder of why it is so important to get your will sorted.

Many people assume their estate will “just go to the right people” when they pass away — but without a valid will, that may not happen.

This is especially important for blended families.

If you have remarried, have stepchildren, children from previous relationships, or cohabiting partners, the law may not reflect your wishes. Without a will, loved ones can unintentionally be left without financial protection, and families can face unnecessary stress, disputes, and uncertainty at an already difficult time.

A properly drafted will can help you:

• Protect your spouse or partner
• Provide fairly for children from different relationships
• Appoint guardians for young children
• Reduce the risk of family disputes
• Ensure your wishes are clearly set out

Making a will is not just about assets — it’s about protecting the people you care about most.

If your family circumstances have changed, now is a good time to review your arrangements and make sure your wishes are up to date.
