The consumer unit on the left was installed 4 years ago by contractors hired by persimmon homes, although compliant you can clearly see the level of care shown by them, this was a cheap and nasty screwfix special that the apprentice slung in.

i think we can all agree that the flush mounted one we've installed is much nicer.
