My wife and i created some wills with yourselves in 2000 - customer number ###### - it would appear they were never signed - we now recognise the need to update and finalise the wills. Can you advise on the way forward. Regards Brian.

Here's a very interesting article concerning a Government ruling on Wills witnessed via video link (e.g. Zoom).

This method isn't one we have suggested but clearly some people have.

The law is being changed to make it easier for people to record their final wishes during the pandemic.

Are errors in DIY Wills causing arguments among families after someone's death?

According to a short report in the Daily Mail today, High Court disputes between family members have risen by 62% in the last 2 years.

In 2016 there were 227 disputes while in 2018 the number had risen to 368.

The frightening comment in the article is "..the rise could be down to the use of DIY Wills, which are more likely to contain errors."
