Another day, another transformation. This 36sq metre area started as a bland, unusable patch of top soil. We removed the existing topsoil to a depth of 125mm below the finished artificial grass height. We then supplied and fitted a type 1 agrigate sub-base at a thickness of 100mm and consolidated using the compaction plate. Treated tile batton was then laid to the perimeter of the area to be artificial lawned and secured in place using sand and cement mortar mix. A wearing course was supplied and fitted using 5mm crushed granite stone at a thickness of 25mm which we compacted and screeded level ready to take the new artificial grass. The artificial grass was then laid, cut to size and secured around the perimeter using 50mm screws fixed to the battons. The area is now ready for garden furniture, sunny days and summer parties.
