Police Cannot just enter your House Anyhow
Not because they are in uniform.
Not because they are shouting.
Not because they say, “Open the door.”
Under the law, your home is protected.
In most situations, the police need a valid search warrant before entering your house and that warrant is not just any paper.
It should contain:
🥢 The name of the court issuing it
🥢 The signature (and seal) of the judge or magistrate
🥢 Your correct address or a clear description of the place
🥢 The items they are searching for
🥢 The name of the officer authorized to execute it
🥢 The date it was issued
It must also be executed within the time allowed by law.
There are limited exceptions like emergencies or when chasing a fleeing suspect.
But random invasion is not the law.
Uniform is authority but authority has limits.
Procedure is what makes power lawful.
Know the difference.
