Guys i really need some advice - my partner is a IPP prisoner and my partner’s solicitor is awful since the recall in august ive only spoken to her once and shes spoken to him twice, im constantly calling them and im being fobbed off with - ‘shes in court’ ‘we cant reach her’ ‘she will call you back’ ‘phone back at this time’ and she never does phone back or i still cant reach her. its starting to really stress me out. He had his paper parole hearing adjourned till January as the solicitor didnt put her representation in even though she said she had.. well why would they adjourn for that and another test need to be done. His response ‘yeah its weird they adjourned it because of that when she said she has put everything in’ well she obviously didnt and is not doing her job properly! I really want to change the solicitors because were getting nowhere and im worried were going to get to january and it will adjourned again, i can never contact her to speak about this. Hes had this solicitor’s for a while and used previously and hes had no problems but this time it is awful i feel like im getting nowhere and its stressing me because i feel so useless, he wont even give me a good reason to stick with them?! I dont want to force him to change but whys he not seeing what i am? Now im thinking does he even want to come home to me like he says he does? How can i get him to see sense i just dont want to change and something goes wrong and he blames me for it but we are literally stuck at the same position since august and were getting nowhere. I just really need some advice to help him see sense because i know that there will be a solicitor out there ready to fight for whats right or is it because he is comfortable there and the change part scares him and maybe he dont want to come home i really dont know but its getting me down so much because of feeling so useless but i really am trying. i just want him to be back home with me 😭

Since the outcome was “No Further Action” and no charges or court proceedings occurred, it is generally not considered a criminal conviction, so answering “No” on your ILR or skilled visa applications was correct; this incident is unlikely to affect your ILR application, especially as it does not appear on your DBS, but you should remain honest if asked for any police cautions or investigations during the process.
