A huge congratulations to Lucy Amos, who has qualified as a Solicitor into our Private Client team!

Lucy is Barcan and Kirby's first Graduate Solicitor Apprentice to qualify through our Graduate Solicitor Apprenticeship Programme. Throughout her qualification journey, she has been praised by clients for her efficiency and for providing straightforward legal advice.

Now a Solicitor, she will continue to provide legal advice on Wills, LPAs, estate administration and Declarations of Trust.

This week is Action for Brain Injury Week 📆

Brain injury changes life in an instant, and the aftermath is rarely just physical. For many families, questions about finances, property and decision-making come at the worst possible time, often without any legal framework in place.

One of the most common situations our Court of Protection team sees is where someone acquires a brain injury, and there’s no LPA in place, leaving the family unable to make decisions on their behalf.

The answer is a Court of Protection Deputyship. But most people don't know it exists until they need it.
