It’s Volunteer’s Week! 💙

So, we thought we’d share a couple of the volunteering days members of the Ringrose Law team have taken part in over the past year.

John Knight recently spent his Ringrose Law volunteering day supporting Headway Lincolnshire during a weekend visit to Calvert Trust near Keswick.

Ringrose Law has proudly supported Headway Lincolnshire - Registered Brain Injury Charity 1151708 for many years, with John also serving as a Trustee for the charity.

The weekend brought together survivors, carers and family members for a range of outdoor activities including canoeing, zip wiring and catamaran rides, helping provide confidence-building experiences in a supportive and accessible environment.

John reflected on how valuable it was to see first-hand the confidence and enjoyment participants gained from the weekend, as well as the level of care and planning involved in making the trip possible for everyone attending.

A brilliant example of the impact charities like Headway Lincolnshire continue to have on individuals and families affected by brain injuries 💙

Last week, Téa Hackney, Solicitor Apprentice in our Personal Injury team, passed her SQE exams 🙌

A fantastic achievement, and an important step within Téa’s qualification journey, following years of balancing studying alongside her role at Ringrose Law.

Since joining as a Paralegal in 2023, Téa has continued to develop her knowledge and experience within the department. In September 2023, she began her Solicitor Apprenticeship, taking the SQE route to qualification.

Téa works across a variety of personal injury matters, including road traffic accidents, accidents at work, public liability claims and Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) claims, supporting clients throughout the claims process alongside colleagues across the department.

A well deserved achievement for Téa and a proud moment for the team.

We are delighted to share that four members of the Ringrose Law team have been promoted 🎉

Georgia Moore, Solicitor in our Children Law team, has been promoted to Associate Solicitor. Georgia joined Ringrose Law in 2024 and represents victims of domestic abuse.

Krzysztof Kozlowski, Associate Solicitor in our Personal Injury team, has been promoted to Senior Associate Solicitor. Krzysztof has several years’ experience supporting clients following serious and life-changing injuries, taking a compassionate and client-focused approach throughout the claims process.

Frances Aitchison-Boundy, Chartered Legal Executive in our Residential Conveyancing team, has been promoted to Senior Associate Chartered Legal Executive. Frances has 9 years of experience in Residential Conveyancing and supports clients across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire with a wide range of property matters.

Gemma Baumber, Solicitor in our Wills, Trusts & Probate team, has been promoted to Senior Associate Solicitor. Gemma has many years’ experience advising clients on Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and estate administration, providing clear and supportive guidance throughout.

These promotions are all incredibly well deserved and reflect the hard work, dedication and support they continue to show to both clients and colleagues across the firm.

A significant change to private children proceedings is currently passing through Parliament, with the Government confirming plans to repeal the presumption of parental involvement.

Esme Hobbs LLB (Hons) LLM, Senior Associate Solicitor in our Children Law team, looks at what the proposed reforms could mean for parents, children and safeguarding concerns, and why the changes are already prompting discussion across the sector.

An important and evolving area of family law, with children’s welfare and safety continuing to remain central to decision making.
