The National Organization for Social Insurance (NOSI) has issued Circular No. (1) of 2026, making Electronic Signatures (Tokens) the new standard for employer services.

What you need to know:

- Form 1, 2, & 6: Subscriptions, wage amendments, and terminations are now processed via the NOSI portal using E-Signatures.

- Unified Access: Linking multiple establishments to a single for easier management.

- Instant Updates: Automated registration for most professions, reducing manual bureaucracy.

It is important for Egyptian entities to ensure their registration and activate their tokens.

We are pleased to have supported the Japanese industry in the Egyptian safeguard investigation on Hot Rolled Coil (HRC).

The investigation was initiated on 27 April 2025 by the Government of Egypt under the Agreement on Safeguards and Law No. 161 of 1998, to assess whether safeguard measures should be imposed on imports of HRC.

Throughout the course of the investigation, the and Department at Ibrachy & Dermarkar, led by Dr. Amir Nabil, represented the Japanese industry and strongly advocated for the exclusion of products of strategic importance to the Japanese industry from the scope of the proposed measures.

We are pleased that the Government of Egypt ultimately agreed to exclude these products from the final safeguard measures, as reflected in Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Decision No. 122 of 2026 issued on 31 March 2026.

This outcome highlights the importance of rigorous legal and economic advocacy in trade remedy investigations, particularly where specialized products critical to global supply chains are concerned.

We were privileged to represent the client alongside Nishimura & Asahi, especially working with Victor Crochet, whose expertise, dedication, and strategic insight were instrumental throughout the course of the investigation.

• Development of precision, discipline, and professional legal thinking.

Recent geopolitical developments and ongoing energy pressures are reshaping aviation operations across the region. The resulting aviation disruption is no longer just operational.

Airlines are increasingly adjusting routes due to airspace restrictions and regional conflicts, amid rising fuel costs and operational uncertainty.

These shifts are driving complex legal and regulatory challenges, particularly in securing overflight approvals, coordinating with authorities such as the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority, and operating within the constraints of bilateral air service agreements.

At the same time, disruptions are increasing exposure to passenger compensation claims and adding pressure to meet evolving regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

In Egypt, where aviation plays a key role in global connectivity, these challenges are particularly pronounced. As the industry continues to adapt to these shifts, a proactive legal strategy is becoming an essential component of operational resilience.
