عتبر وحدات الإطفاء والإنقاذ بالمطارات الجندي المجهول في المطارات حيث يقومون بأعمال ومسؤوليات كثيرة لا يعلمها المسافرون أما بالنسبة للعاملين بالمطارات فلديهم بعض المعرفة بهذه الوحدة ومدى أهميتها بالنسبة لحركة الطيران وكذلك حمايتهم أثناء أداء عملهم بالمطار وخدمات الإطفاء بالمطارات تتوفر بها عربات إطفاء ومعدات متخصصة بمجابهة حرائق وحوادث الطائرات والحوادث والحرائق في منشئات المطار والتي تصنف بخطورتها

الهدف الرئيسي
توفير الحماية اللازمة للأرواح والممتلكات من الحرائق والانهيارات والحوادث والكوارث الطبيعية والوقاية منها
ومن خلال هذا الهدف العام للإدارة العامة للإطفاء يتبين لنا أنه يتكون من غايتين أساسيتين هم :
الغاية الأولى : حماية الأرواح والممتلكات بالوقاية من الحوادث بتطبيق الشروط الوقائية طبقا لنوع النشاط المستغل
الغاية الثانية : حماية الأرواح والممتلكات بالتعامل المباشر مع الحوادث عند حدوثها وذلك بمعالجة الحادث وإنهائه بأقل الخسائر الممكنة
الأهداف الإستراتيجية لهذه الغايات
منع الحادث: إزالة أسباب وقوع الحادث وخصوصا الحرائق وذلك سواء مادية أو بشرية ويتم ذلك عن طريق النصح والإلزام
حصر الحوادث: حصر الحادث في مكان وقوعه وذلك عن طريق تطبيق الشروط الوقائية المسبقة مثال (قانون المباني والمنشآت) أو التعامل المباشر أثناء إخماد الحرائق
تقليل الخسائر: تقليل الخسائر في الأرواح والممتلكات أثناء وقوع الحادث ويتم تحقيق ذلك بنشر الوعي الوقائي للتصرف أثناء وقوع الحادث أولاً والتصرف الفعلي للإطفاء في سبيل الخسائر مثال: سرعة الاستجابة
معالجة وإنهاء الحادث: التعامل المباشر مع الحادث ومعالجته بأقل وقت ممكن وذلك على الوجه الأمثل مع الأخذ بعين الاعتبار الأهداف الأخرى

The main objective
Provide the necessary protection to the lives and property from fires and avalanches, accidents and natural disasters and Prevention (CDC)
Through this overall goal of the Department of Fire Service shows us that it is composed of two main goals are:
First goal: the protection of life and property to the prevention of accidents to apply the conditions according to the type of preventive activity exploiter
Second Goal: to protect life and property dealing directly with accidents when they occur and by addressing the incident and terminated the least possible losses
The strategic objectives of these goals
Prevent the incident: remove the causes of the accident, especially fires, whether material or human, is done by advice and compulsion
Narrow accidents: inventory of the incident in the place of occurrence and by applying preventive preconditions (eg law of buildings and facilities) or direct dealing during fire suppression
Reduce losses: reduce loss of life and property during the incident and is achieved by spreading awareness of preventive behaviour during the incident first and the actual disposition of the fire in order to losses Example: speed of response
Treatment and an end to the incident: dealing directly with the incident and treat the least possible time and to optimize taking into account other goals
