Dear IMCC Participants,

First and foremost, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for your incredible dedication and hard work in preparing your memorials for the Moot Court Competition. Over the past couple of days, weโ€™ve had the privilege of carefully reviewing your submissions, and we were truly impressed by the level of effort, research, and attention to detail you all put into your work. It is clear that every one of you approached this process with great commitment, and for that, we are genuinely grateful.

However, as many of you are aware, the competition has limited capacity, with only 12 teams, each consisting of 4 members, which means only 48 participants can be selected. This has made our decision incredibly difficult, and while we wish we could include everyone, the constraints of the competition have unfortunately forced us to make some very tough choices.

If you have not been contacted via WhatsApp or do not see your name in the attached list, we are deeply sorry to inform you that you have not been selected to move forward this time. Please know that this in no way reflects your abilities or the quality of your work, every single one of you has shown immense potential and dedication.

And for those who see their names in the list but were not contacted via Whatsapp, please send us through the page or email your full name and phone number.

We want to emphasize how much we truly appreciate the time and energy youโ€™ve all invested in this process. It has been a pleasure to have you all participate, and we sincerely hope you will continue to engage with us in future opportunities. For those who have made it into the teams, congratulations! We are excited to see what lies ahead for you.

Please find below the list for this year's participants:

Thank you once again for your commitment and passion throughout this competition. We wish you all the very best in your future endeavors, and we look forward to staying in touch!

Internal Moot Court ๐Ÿ›‘

For Internal Moot Court participants, please read the following FAQs as they will help you through the selection task.

Q1: How shall I draft my arguments?
A1: The best way to draft your argument is by following the RAC method. First, you start with an introduction. Following, you mention the rule that your argument is based on, whether it is a case law, a treaty, a directive, etc...
Thirdly, you start applying the rule to the case facts, which requires a very brief mention of the exact facts that you use in your argument. Finally, you conclude your argument in the form of a submission.

Q2: How is the word count calculated?
A2: The word count is only for the arguments section, excluding any headlines or footnotes.

Q3: Shall I include a summary of the facts in the memorial?
A3: The only mandatory sections are the arguments section and the prayers section. However, adding a summary of facts or a table of contents would be a plus.

Q4: Is there a reference or a guide for constructing my memorial?
A4: You can always check the previous years' best memorials as they present an example of a memorial's final draft. You can find them here: https://www.law.ox.ac.uk/content/preparing-your-memorials

Best of luck!
