We are pleased to announce that Nexus & Charter Law Firm ("NC") has successfully represented one of our leading clients in Egypt and the Gulf, operating in the field of industrial handling, packaging, and manufacturing for third parties, in a judicial commercial dispute

The dispute initially arose from disagreements over the financial valuation of additional operational activities ("outside the scope of work stipulated under the contract"), as well as the settlement of account discrepancies related to packaging, wrapping, and commission-based manufacturing, and it then escalated following the sudden termination of the contractual relationship prior to the settlement of the payments due to our client

During the course of the proceedings, our team presented the dispute on clear, coherent, and well-founded legal grounds, supported by robust legal arguments and substantive evidence, while maintaining a clear procedural strategy before the court.

In light of the strength of the legal position established in favor of our client, and the serious legal risks that the opposing party would have faced had the dispute proceeded to final adjudication, the parties agreed to settle the dispute by way of conciliation during the pendency of the proceedings

Accordingly, during the pendency of the case before the Court of First Instance, a settlement agreement ("judicial conciliation") was concluded between the parties and, upon their joint request, was formally recorded and annexed to the court session minutes, thereby acquiring full legal enforceability, and the dispute was resolved by way of settlement between the parties

As a result, our client recovered all of its financial entitlements in full, while avoiding the time and costs associated with prolonged litigation.

We are pleased to announce that Nexus & Charter Law Firm ("NC") has acted as legal counsel to one of the largest Qatari companies operating in the restaurant management sector in relation to a long-term Area Development and Franchise Agreement granted by a leading global brand in the same industry.
The agreement, which has spanned over twenty years, faced complex legal challenges concerning the early termination process, annual royalty fees, and pending financial obligations. ("NC") team successfully devised the negotiation strategy and resolved the key points of dispute, ultimately preserving the contractual relationship and steering the Agreements away from collapse.
Our legal team provided legal and strategic counsel aimed at safeguarding our client’s financial, reputational, and commercial interests. The matter concluded with the signing of a Settlement Agreement that serves as an addendum to the original agreements, whereby the parties mutually agreed to reverse the previously initiated termination and reaffirm their intent to continue the contractual relationship, maintaining the agreed royalty rates without amendment.

We are pleased to announce that Nexus & Charter Law Firm (“NC”) has acted as the legal advisor to one of our clients, an Egyptian company specialized in the food industry sector, in connection with its dispute with a Slovenian company specialized in developing industrial software tailored for manufacturing facilities. Our firm successfully reached a comprehensive amicable settlement through an international commercial agreement, which allowed both parties to avoid arbitration in accordance with the arbitration clause stipulated in the original contract.

The dispute initially revolved around various legal and technical aspects related to obligations of technical support, licensing conditions, and the operation of a bundle of integrated digital systems, including the ERP system for enterprise and accounting resource planning, the MES system for monitoring and executing production, the WMS system for managing storage and warehouse operations, and the CMMS system for computerized maintenance management.

Thanks to the trust placed in us by our clients and the cooperation between both parties, we succeeded in achieving a successful amicable settlement and reaching an agreement that safeguards the interests of both sides. This agreement paves the way for a new phase of international technical cooperation, while ensuring service continuity and the fulfillment of contractual obligations.
