Did you know that Dominican Republic is the country in the Caribbean where most patents are filed annually? Did you know Dominican Republic is the fastest growing economy in the Caribbean? With this data in mind, we are honored to share that MINIÑO was the top filer firm for patents in Dominican Republic in 2022. The total number of patent applications filed in the country in 2022, according to the Dominican PTO, was 257, MINIÑO filed 35% of the total amount.

Honored to have been ranked by THE PATENTE LAWYER magazine as a top patent firm in the Caribbean for the 2023 edition.

“Throughout the year, The Patent Lawyer magazine carries out extensive research to highlight leading firms in the IP and patent field in each jurisdiction to recognize the hard work and improvement firms have achieved and to aid clients in selecting the best firms for their needs.”

¿Sabía que República Dominicana es el país del Caribe donde se depositan más patentes al año? ¿Sabías que República Dominicana es la economía de más rápido crecimiento en el Caribe? Con estos datos en mente, tenemos el honor de compartir que MINIÑO fue la firma que más patentes presentó en República Dominicana en el 2022. El número total de solicitudes de patentes presentadas en el país, según la ONAPI, fue de 257 y MINIÑO presentó el 35% del total.

In light of the World Anticounterfeiting Day we would like to recognize the efforts that the Dominican authorities are making in the fight against counterfeits. More than 550 cases were addressed by our IP Public Prosecutor’s Unit during the last year and we look forward to see those numbers increment during this year.

The MINIÑO team is committed to walk the talk and take part in the combat by raising awareness about the dangers of counterfeits not only towards the brands but also to consumers and the society as a whole.

As part of our commitment to education, last Tuesday our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) committee organized a vocational talk for senior students at the Liceo Julio César de Jesús Asencio in San Cristóbal.

The team talked with the students about different professional careers and their application in the workplace. They also shared their own experiences in order to inspire these young people to continue their university studies and provide them with tools for better decision making in choosing their professional careers.

Como parte de nuestro compromiso con la educación, el martes pasado nuestro comité de Responsabilidad Social Corporativa (RSC) organizó una charla vocacional para los estudiantes de último año d el Liceo Julio César de Jesús Asencio en San Cristóbal.

Nuestros colaboradores charlaron con los estudiantes sobre diferentes carreras profesionales y su aplicación en el ámbito laboral. También compartieron sus propias experiencias con el fin de inspirar a estos jóvenes para continuar sus estudios universitarios y brindarles herramientas para una mejor toma de decisión en la elección de sus carreras profesionales.
