Βιογραφικό
Γεννήθηκα στην Πραιτώρια της Νοτίου Αφρικής το 1981 από γονείς Eλληνο-Κύπριους. Ο πατέρας μου κατάγεται από τον Πολύστυπο, Επαρχία Λευκωσίας και η μητέρα μου από την Αργάκα, Επαρχία Πάφου.
Ζω στην Κύπρο από τα 10 μου χρόνια, όπου φοίτησα στο Grammar School. Ακολούθως, συνέχισα της σπουδές μου στο Πανεπιστήμιο του (Leicester) (ΗΒ) στη Νομική (LLB.Law) και μεταπτυχιακό (LL.M) στο Ευρω
παϊκό Δίκαιο επίσης από το Leicester. Κατά τα φοιτητικά μου χρόνια ήμουν ενεργό μέλος της φοιτητικής μας παράταξης Πρωτοπορίας.
Εξασκώ το επάγγελμα του δικηγόρου από το 2005 και είμαι µέλος του Δικηγορικού Συλλόγου Λευκωσίας. Το 2019 έκανα το μεγάλο βήμα ανοίγοντας το δικό μου γραφείο, όπου είμαι Διευθύνουσα Σύμβουλος αφού είχα αποκτήσει την απαραίτητη εμπειρία και εξειδίκευση στους τομείς του δικαίου που εξειδικεύομαι αποκλειστικά σήμερα, Εταιρικό και Εμπορικό Δίκαιο, Εμπιστεύματα, Κληρονομικη Διαδοχή, Πνευματική Ιδιοκτησία, και Συμμόρφωη για το οποίο κατέχω πιστοποίηση Λειτουργού Συμμόρφωσης από την Επιτροπή Κεφαλαιαγοράς Κύπρου, ενώ είμαι και αδειοδοτημένος Σύμβουλος Αφερεγγυότητας.
Κατά τον ελεύθερό μου χρονο αρθρογραφώ επί νομικών θεμάτων, παρέχω σεμινάρια σε επαγγελματίες όπως λογιστες, ελεγκτές, δικηγόρους αλλά και σε άλλους επαγγελματίες μέσω του πιστοποιημένου από τον ΠΔΣ εκπαιδευτικού κέντρου που αποτελεί μέρος του γραφείου.
Είμαι μέλος διαφόρων Επιτροπών του Παγκύπριου Δικηγορικού Συλλόγου, Αντιπρόεδρος του STEP (Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners, παγκόσμιος οργανισμός επαγγελματικών υπηρεσιών) Κύπρου και τον περασμένο Οκτώβριο διορίστηκα απο το Υπουργικό Συμβούλιο ως Ανεξάρτητο Μη Εκτελεστικό Μέλος του Διοιητικού Συμβουλίου του Οργανισμού Χρηματοδοτήσεως Στέγης. Studied law at the University of Leicester, graduating in 2004 with an LL.B in Law and in 2007 obtained an LL.M (EU law) from the same university. Certified Trusts & Estates Practitioner (TEP - STEP UK, Vice – President of the Board of Directors of STEP Cyprus (Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners), a certified AML Compliance Officer from the Cyprus Securities & Exchange Commission, Certified AML Office (International Compliance Association) and licenced Insolvency Practitioner. Active member of two committees of the Cyprus Bar Association, the Companies Committee and Intellectual Property Committee. Founder/Managing Partner of the law firm N. Xenofontos LLC, established in 2019, a boutique, business centric law firm, specialising in corporate, commercial law, intellectual property, insolvency and restructuring, trusts and estates, compliance, regulatory, privacy law and fiduciary appointments. Major areas of expertise and practice include the setting up and administration of trusts, general legal advice and opinions, estate and inheritance planning, intellectual property corporate insolvency / restructuring, general corporate and commercial law. Another major area of practice and expertise is compliance, anti-money laundering and regulatory matters having advised major corporations and governmental authorities as well as private clients and firms on their AML, compliance and regulatory matters. Apart from the above, Nicky is a legal trainer-lecturer on her areas of expertise and regularly holds seminars through the firm’s legal training centre - NextStep Legal Training Centre accredited by the Cyprus Bar Association for Continuous Professional Development and also provides in-house training to law firms, accounting and audit firms. In November 2022, Nicky was appointed by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Cyprus to serve as a non-executive member of the Board of Directors of the semi-governmental owned Housing Finance Corporation.
