The IRCC has just announced two new immigration pathways: the Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP) and the Francophone Community Immigration Pilot (FCIP). These initiatives build on the success of the previous Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP), a program we have worked with since its launch in 2019.

Vernon (North Okanagan Shuswap) has been selected to participate in the RCIP, offering new opportunities for skilled newcomers to build their futures in our community and neighboring areas. Additionally, Kelowna has been chosen as a designated community under the FCIP, aimed at strengthening Francophone minority communities across Canada.

With our extensive experience in rural immigration pathways and the Francophone Mobility Program, we are fully prepared to assist both employers and applicants in navigating these new opportunities.

If you are a local business seeking skilled workers or a prospective immigrant looking to settle in a vibrant and welcoming community, we’re here to help. Get in touch with us today to learn more about how these programs can work for you!

You can find the official release from the IRCC here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/2025/01/canada-launches-rural-and-francophone-community-immigration-pilots.html

𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞: 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐔𝐤𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐬

We're here to share a significant temporary public policy aimed at reuniting families impacted by the Russian invasion of Ukraine in Canada. This policy grants certain Ukrainian foreign nationals and their family members a chance to apply for permanent residence.

Here are the key points:

1️⃣ 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐰𝐨 𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬:

If you're a Ukrainian national and a family member of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident (spouse, child, grandchild, parent, grandparent, or sibling), you can apply.

If you're the spouse or common-law partner of a Ukrainian national with family ties in Canada, you may also apply.

2️⃣ 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫:

You must be in Canada when you apply and when you're granted permanent residence.
You must have valid temporary resident status or have applied to restore it if expired within 90 days.
You and your family members must meet admissibility requirements. This policy allows approval even if you'd typically be inadmissible for financial reasons.

3️⃣ 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲:

You can't apply if you're outside Canada, are inadmissible for reasons other than financial, or your relationship type isn't listed in the categories above.

This policy reflects Canada's commitment to supporting those affected by the Ukraine crisis and reuniting families in Canada. 🇺🇦❤️🇨🇦 If you have further questions about this new public policy or want to explore it further, contact us at Forefront Immigration Services and we will be happy to assist you.

𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓

Dear Valued Clients and Prospective Applicants,

Forefront Immigration Services is committed to keeping you informed about the latest developments in Canadian immigration. We are pleased to share an important update regarding the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP) program for the 2023/2024 intake.

𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐀𝐑𝐘 𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐏𝐀𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐑𝐔𝐑𝐀𝐋 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐍 𝐈𝐌𝐌𝐈𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐏𝐈𝐋𝐎𝐓 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐇 𝐎𝐊𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐆𝐀𝐍 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐒𝐇𝐔𝐒𝐖𝐀𝐏

In response to the overwhelming demand and the limited number of recommendations available for the 2023/2024 period, RNIP North Okanagan Shuswap has implemented a strategic approach to ensure fair and efficient processing of applications.. The temporary application pause will be lifted in stages.

The introduction of application stages will allow RNIP North Okanagan Shuswap to manage the influx of applications effectively and ensures that complete applications do not languish on waitlists for extended periods.

However, it's important to note that submitting a complete application does not guarantee immediate presentation to the Committee or approval due to the high volume of submissions.

𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝟏 - 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝐬𝐭, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑

Starting from October 1st, 2023, the RNIP North Okanagan Shuswap program will accept applications from the expanded priority NOC codes listed on the "𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬" page (https://rnipnorthokanaganshuswap.ca/priority/). However, please be aware that 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐧𝐨𝐧-𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐍𝐎𝐂 𝐜𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 (𝐍𝐀𝐈𝐂𝐒 𝟕𝟐𝟐𝟓𝟏𝟐, 𝟒𝟒𝟕𝟏𝟏 & 𝟒𝟒𝟕𝟏𝟗 - 𝐅𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 & 𝐆𝐚𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬) 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞.

If required, Stage 2 will include the acceptance of applications from the expanded priority NOC codes, all non-priority NOC codes, and those industries previously paused (NAICS 722512, 44711 & 44719). It's essential to note that during Stage 2, non-priority applicants who submit their complete applications will be placed on the waitlist and presented to the Committee in the order they are received, while priority applicants will still receive expedited processing.

At Forefront Immigration Services, we remain dedicated to guiding you through this process and helping you navigate the complexities of immigration. 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡!

The Government of Canada is taking a giant step towards giving Canadian youth a global edge in today's interconnected world economy.

Canada and Iceland have joined hands to create a brand new Youth Mobility Arrangement. What does that mean? Starting in 2024, you can now work and travel in each other's countries for up to 12 months through International Experience Canada (IEC) or its Icelandic counterpart. And guess what? You can even repeat this fantastic experience for another 12 months!

This arrangement signifies not just a partnership between two nations, but a bridge between dreams and reality. Through this exchange, Canadian and Icelandic youth will delve into new cultures, enrich their life skills, and broaden their career horizons.

Marie-France Lalonde, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, says, "We are creating a path for them to connect, learn and grow together, fostering friendships and memories that will last a lifetime."

The Honourable Áslaug Arna Sigurbjörnsdóttir, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Iceland, shares her excitement too, "Icelandic and Canadian youth will have the opportunity to work and travel in each other’s country, exploring new cultures while enhancing their life skills and improving career prospects."

Let's applaud the power of international collaboration, the potential of our youth, and the countless memories they're about to create!
