How many of you realize that if you and your spouse both pass away leaving young children (in Ontario), if you both list the same person (or if your spouse has already pre-deceased you, then your choice would be considered by the court even if your spouse chose a different party) to care for them in your will that person can gain temporary custody of your children for 30 days and can apply to make that custody permanent through the court system?
