All the other measures are mere first-aid solutions to current housing situation. More housing supply would be the only solution. Unfortunately the cost of goods and shortage of labour is not going to help even if the ALR is dissolved in BC for more land. Prices are going to go up eventually.

Be careful not to buy a home based on the property and price alone. According to an NAR survey, home buyers are more willing to compromise on a home’s condition (20%) and size (18%) than on the quality of its neighborhood (6%) and distance from a school (2%). So make sure you factor neighborhood quality and location into your decision.
