Express Entry Changes - Nov 03, 2026

Effective November 03, 2026 IRCC is bringing changes to CRS points.
The Labour Market Integration factor is new in the CRS.
It includes points for either:
• Canadian work experience (based on how long you worked) with extra points for work in eligible high-wage occupations
• a qualifying job offer in an eligible high-wage occupation
You can only receive points for Canadian work experience or an eligible job offer, not both.

Entry Changes effective from Nov 03, 2026

Starting November 3, 2026, IRCC will award additional points to candidates with eligible Canadian work experience or a qualifying job offer in a high-wage occupation.

A labour market impact assessment (LMIA) will no longer be required for a qualifying job offer to receive the new Express Entry points or to meet job offer requirements under the Federal Skilled Worker Program and the Federal Skilled Trades Program. IRCC will continue to assess job offers to confirm they are genuine and meet program requirements.
