π¨ STOP SCROLLING β C-12 JUST GOT A MAJOR FEDERAL COURT UPDATE.
If C-12 has affected you or your immigration case, this is an update you need to know.
On August 28, 2026, the Federal Court issued a major order addressing the constitutional challenges involving C-12.
βοΈ What does the order mean?
The Court has selected 5 lead cases and will identify up to 10 representative cases to address the common constitutional issues.
But the most important part is this:
π All other C-12 applications β including future applications β will be held in abeyance while the representative cases proceed.
β° CRITICAL DEADLINE: OCTOBER 1, 2026
That is the deadline for proposals concerning the common legal issues and representative cases to be submitted.
If C-12 affects you, this may not be the time to simply sit back and wait. Your individual circumstances could matter in determining how your case fits within this litigation and what legal options may be available.
