When Ashley Logan was two years old, she had a life-saving liver transplant. To give thanks to the hospital that saved their daughter’s life, Ashley’s parents Sherrie and Jeff Logan started Ashley’s Angels, a fundraising initiative that has raised over $1 million for SickKids since 2012 in the areas of transplant research, innovation and education.
Today, Ashley is a healthy 15-year-old high school student who is interested in taking her parents’ philanthropy into her own hands. Ashley, along with four of her friends have created their own fundraising event, Steps4SickKids Fundraiser. This July will be the second year of the event with a goal of raising $15K for liver transplant priorities.
