The Tower - an archetype

Something in your life may have come crashing down recently. A situation. A relationship. A way of being or feeling.

Thank you for showing up for you - for staying in stillness or sharing your story. The shares, the tears, the laughs, the insights - it’s all part of something bigger. Your energy made a huge impact on the collective group.

I shared my awakening story for the first time. It was raw, it was emotional, it was deep. After I shared, further hidden truths and insights came to me. This is pure alchemy.

Justice

…how fitting

The Justice Tarot card is about:

To me, justice means providing my clients with the tools that helped me, so they can find clarity in their lives.

In a separation, where a client is going through a transition, an identity shift, a transformation, and may be very likely going through a traumatic experience, sometimes they don’t know what they want. And that’s ok.

As lawyers, we are equipped to settle the matter logically and as quickly as possible. And although a swift resolution may sound cost effective, it can create more damage where a client doesn’t know what they are fighting for, or what they want to fight for.

Somatic work, breathwork, spirituality, art therapy, mindfulness helped me find clarity in the darkness of times. Some use other types of traditional therapy, Chinese medicine, etc.

Taking time to just sit with my thoughts, my body, my feelings, my intuition. No pressure. Just being. Clarity comes. And it makes you feel lighter, softer, more confident, proud. ✨

How do we make this change in family law? How do we open the gate and welcome the emotional with open arms? Welcome stillness. Welcome transition fully.
How do we balance the logical and the emotional?

To me, justice means standing in your truth.

& I will continue doing simply that.

Helping clients attune to their highest selves in order to achieve the outcomes they need and desire…that’s justice.

One of the Conference Judges I appear before often says the following to the parties in a family law case (and I am absolutely obsessed):

“I have a magic wand in my hand...what do you want out of this?” 🪄

This question creates a safe space for open dialogue and gives both parties validation that their individual needs and goals truly matter.

✨✨✨

In parenting cases, where the best interests of the children are paramount, parties are more likely to work together and prioritize the children’s needs over their own when they feel safe to communicate their personal concerns, desires, or challenges.

When people feel heard and understood, they’re better able to set aside personal grievances and focus on what their children truly need. Creating that emotional safety can lead to healthier co-parenting and better outcomes for the children.
