Quebec law targets Airbnb Join the protest of Quebec's Bill 67 targeting Airbnb

08/29/2017

Looking at the list below, It's obvious how the idea of classification certificate to operate Airbnb came about:-

 Dominique Lapointe, chair (Montréal / hotel establishments)
• Vincent Bérubé, treasurer (Bas-Saint-Laurent / youth establishments)
• Lucie Caron (Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean / bed and breakfasts)
• Jacques Charlebois (Eastern townships / bed and breakfasts)
• Michelle Doré (Région de Québec / hotel establishments)
• Marco Gendreau (Lanaudière / resorts)
• Catherine Lefresne (Montréal / tourist homes)
• Caroline Milot, outgoing chair (Centre-du-Québec / hotel establishments)
• Benoît Sirard (Eastern Townships / hotel establishments)
• Kamal Shah, Laurentides / tourist homes)
• Dominique Tardif (Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean / educational institutions)
This board panel is protecting itself and not the new and futuristic way of doing business. Sharing economy is important to evolution and advancement. There is no room for an industry to selfishly protect itself and its own interest. Things must change to benefit the people and not the industries. This is a disgrace.
