Last week, a group of talented enthusiasts transported me—and the entire audience—into the beautiful world of Natya Sangeet from the early 1900s.
It was truly a nostalgic experience. My grandfather used to sing these songs, and we grew up listening to them and watching authentic performances. Through the wonderful program “Echoes of Balgandharva,” we had the opportunity to relive those cherished memories once again.
The writing, narration, tabla and harmonium accompaniment, singing, and overall presentation were all exceptional. Every aspect of the program reflected the immense talent, dedication, and hard work of the artists we are fortunate to have here in Canada.
As one of the proud sponsors, I was honored to be seated in the front row, which made the experience even more memorable.
I would like to sincerely thank all the artists for their passion, commitment, and countless hours of effort in bringing this production to life, despite the demands of our busy lives here.
