The Bank of Canada is keeping rates steady for now. 🏦

Canada’s economy showed signs of improvement last quarter, with stronger GDP growth, increased consumer spending, and a slight drop in unemployment.

But inflation is still running around 3%, largely due to higher gas and energy prices. New U.S. tariffs and Canadian counter-tariffs are also adding uncertainty and could push costs higher.

For now, the Bank is taking a wait-and-see approach. 👀
Before the next rate decision, it will be watching inflation, the strength of Canada’s economic recovery, energy prices, and the impact of ongoing trade tensions.

The next announcement is scheduled for October 28, 2026.

Take a quick walk around your home and check caulking around windows and doors. Repairing gaps can help keep moisture and drafts outside.

Look around windows, doors, vents and utility openings for cracking, gaps or separation. Small repairs are easier to handle before wind-driven rain or cold weather finds its way inside.

Pro tip: Put the task on a recurring calendar reminder or pair it with a scheduled delivery when supplies are involved. It is much easier to keep up with maintenance when the reminder arrives automatically.
