FYI TO ANYONE IN !! Alberta Emergency Alert issued July 18th, 2026 at 1:36 PM.

Text: "This is an Alberta Emergency Alert for an autistic missing child in the City of Calgary. The GOA has issued an exemption for the CPS to do an alert. 11 yr old Parker was last seen in the community of Thorncliffe on Thursday, July 16 at 12:52 PM.
He is a white male 4'11" tall, 90 pounds, brown hair, brown eyes, wearing dark shorts, headphones and no shirt. If found, do not approach, keep watching and call 9 1 1. People in Cambrian Heights, Thorncliffe, North Haven, Highwood, Highland Park, Greenview, and all Calgarians are asked to check their property. Follow CPS social media for information."

CATALYST and SACLA are attending a conversation with Deputy NDP Leader Rakhi Pancholi and her colleagues in the Alberta NDP caucus.

We posed our question around the erosion of support for people with disability and asked what their party proposes to do to address this.

We will continue to engage with all government and community leaders to hold this discussion.

Thank you to the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce for organizing this event, and to MLA Pacholi and her team for coming to speak to Lethbridge.

CMHA-Edmonton is offering a free, plain-language course called Understanding AISH and ADAP. It covers eligibility, the application process, what to expect after applying, and practical strategies for income reporting and managing budgets.
Multiple dates through June - August, in person in Edmonton and online via Zoom.
It is free and open to people with disabilities, caregivers, and support workers.

It is CDSP Week, and we want to take a moment for our own team.

Behind every workshop, every job match, every family who feels a little less alone, there is a Gateway professional who made it happen. They are the ones who notice what someone can do and help them get there. The ones who follow up, who explain it one more time, who keep showing up.
