This year marks 60 years of the UNCITRAL: United Nations Commission on International Trade Law – six decades of shaping the legal frameworks that make global trade more predictable, fair, and connected.
Established by the UN General Assembly in 1966, at the initiative of Hungary, UNCITRAL stands as a testament to how international cooperation can create a lasting impact.
As part of this milestone, UNCITRAL’s journey along the Danube brings the conversation closer to home, highlighting the region’s role in the evolution of international trade and investment law.
We are delighted to support and take part in the first UNCITRAL Day in Bulgaria, hosted at the University of National and World Economy – Shaping Global Trade and Investment: UNCITRAL Instruments and ISDS Reform.
Anna Joubin-Bret, Nikola Kovacikova, and Velislava Hristova will explore UNCITRAL’s mandate, its key instruments in international commercial arbitration, and the ongoing work of Working Group III on ISDS Reform.
These conversations matter – because behind every legal instrument are real opportunities: for businesses to grow, for investments to flow, and for cooperation across borders to thrive.
📍 Location: Ceremonial Hall, UNWE
📅 Date: 20 April, 15:00
The event is free of charge, and no prior registration is required.
We look forward to welcoming you, exchanging ideas, and shaping the future of global trade – together.
