১৯৮৪ সালে সুইডেন সরকারের অনুদানে গঠিত হয় “বাংলাদেশ-সুইডেন ট্রাষ্ট ফান্ড”। এই ট্রাষ্ট ফান্ডের মূল উদ্দেশ্য মানব সম্পদের উন্নয়ন এবং সেই লক্ষ্যে তাঁরা উচ্চশিক্ষার্থে বিদেশগামী ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের আর্থিক অনুদান/ট্রাভেল গ্র্যান্ট দিয়ে থাকে। তাই সময় থাকতে আপনার এয়ার টিকেট (air ticket) এর জন্য ট্র্যাভেল গ্রান্ট এর আবেদন করে ফেলুন!
The Bangladesh-Sweden Trust Fund (BSTF) was established in 1984 with grants from the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA). With a view to developing human resources in Bangladesh, one-way travel grant is being provided to Bangladeshi students studying abroad. Operations of the BSTF are run by a 12-member committee, members of which are from both the public and the private sectors. The Secretary of the Economic Relations Division is
the Chair of the committee.

1. Timeline of submission of application for BSTF travel grant
From the year 2022, every year applicants will have to apply online between January and April. Any application submitted after 11:59 pm Bangladesh Time of 30 April will not be accepted. Within the next month, i.e., in May, applications will be assessed and notification of award will be sent only to the successful candidates by email.
3. Eligibility for application
Bangladeshi students who went abroad from Bangladesh for higher studies from the first day of April of the year preceding the application year until the end of March of the application year will be eligible to apply. Example: Applicants who went abroad between 01 April 2021 and 31 March 2022 will be eligible to apply for grant. Therefore, in this case, students who went abroad before 01 April 2021 or after 31 March 2022 will not be eligible to apply. Moreover, students who have already been awarded BSTF grant previously or have been provided air ticket for travel from elsewhere will not be eligible to apply. Legal steps will be taken against an applicant if she/he conceals or fabricates information to obtain grant fraudulently
