One of the things I love most about being an Airbnb host is that I can take the job anywhere with me 🤍

This photo was taken while I was in New Zealand, and even though I was away, I could still stay connected with my guests and keep everything running smoothly.

Hosting gives me the flexibility to work from wherever I am, without being tied to one place. It's one of the biggest reasons I love what I do.

During my time in Christchurch, I had the pleasure of visiting my friend, fellow host and Community Leader, Angela. She has created two beautiful stays, and it's clear how much care goes into every detail.

Low season doesn’t have to mean low bookings!

It’s all about knowing what’s happening in your area and positioning your listing around it.

In Townsville, winter brings big NRL games, events, and concerts. That means people are actively searching for places to stay close to the action.

If your property is near a stadium, event space, or even a popular venue… make it clear.

Add it into your listing:

It’s not over the top, but it’s enough to create that homely, elevated feel.
You don’t need to overcomplicate your Airbnb or spend on expensive extras. It’s the small, thoughtful details that make the difference. Wine glasses ready to go, matching coffee mugs, simple styling that makes the space feel considered.

Getting to know a little about your guests and the reason for their stay allows you to personalise the experience.

In this case, we knew our guest was celebrating a birthday, so my amazing team left a personalised note waiting for her when she arrived.

It’s thoughtful touches like this that make a stay feel truly special and often what encourages guests to return again in the future.

Guests expect certain essentials when they stay at an Airbnb.

At a minimum, shampoo and conditioner, body soap and hand soap should always be provided. These are considered basic necessities, not added extras, and help guests feel comfortable from the moment they arrive.

To elevate the stay, it’s the small kitchen staples that make a big difference. Items like cooking oil, salt and pepper remove friction and make the space feel easy to use, especially for guests staying more than one night.

Cover the essentials, then add a few thoughtful touches that help guests settle in without needing an immediate trip to the shops ✨
