A few words from one of our Directors, Christie - "At the end of last year, I was honoured to be listed as Recommended in the 2025 Doyles Guide Leading Workers Compensation Lawyer (Defendant) in New South Wales.
At the time, it landed in a very strange moment. I had already resigned from my previous role, I was getting ready to step into the unknown of starting a new firm, and if I’m being honest, I didn’t think the recognition really meant much for what I was about to build, so I didn’t really celebrate it as an achievement.
But the more distance I’ve had from that period, the more I’ve realised that experience, the years I spent working on the defendant/insurer side, that is actually one of my biggest strengths for the clients I represent today. It means I inherently understand how decisions are actually made behind the scenes, where claims succeed (and where they fall down), how evidence is assessed by insurers in real, practical terms, and the pressures and processes on the other side of the table.
Starting a new firm is humbling. You question yourself. You wonder whether you’re good enough, whether you’re ready, whether you’re doing the right thing. But stopping to consider the work that has led up to this and the recognition I have already achieved, it’s a reminder that experience does matter and that the knowledge gained on every side of the workers compensation system can be used to genuinely help people."
